I am a young and vibrant marketing professional with a Bachelor of Commerce: Marketing Management degree from The University of South Africa, through Varsity College Pretoria.
Having being drawn by the power of successful brands and the kind of pull they seemed to have over their loyal consumers, I was drawn to study, marketing and learning how to create these bonds between people and their favourite brands and create such results myself. I realise that to learn and perfect my marketing craft I need to align myself with a brand/ organisation that has proven itself in the market, is forward looking and has proven itself in the both the industry- among its competitors and in the open marketplace.
My marketing experiences include the 2009 launch of the new PRASA (Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa) brand identity, the 2009 PRASA Premier Classe Cape Town Jazz Experience while interning at The Brand Leadership Group. My proudest accomplishment being the successful stage co-ordination of the first Miss Co.fi Hatfield Pageant as well as the most recent Amazing race runs by The Core Computer Company in partnership with Mini Cooper South Africa. I have spent the last 2 years freelancing for local small businesses, drawing up market research projects, re-branding and re-structuring business models and processes. I'm currently working with Nitefeva.com, editing their online publication (www.nitefeva.com), drawing up event and business proposals, project managing various and organizing events.
Working with people is something I enjoy as one is then exposed to different ways of thinking, approaches to problems and solutions to common problems. Social interaction particularly in the workplace should be enriching on a professional and personal growth front.
I have experience with both Microsoft PC as well as the Apple Mac. My typing skills are fair and I have experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. I have experience with popular social media including; Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, LinkedIn, Mxit and Youtube. I ran promotional and marketing campaigns for Nitefeva Media on the Facebook and Twitter platforms and continue working with the brand as the freelance Online Editor of Nitefeva .com. I am also a member of the IMM African Marketers Association.
