Christopher Damp
As an ambitious person, I am very motivated to be successful and to make a meaningful contribution to my company of employment and the community.
To achieve these goals, I understand that hard work and commitment are essential and I am excited and prepared about this future challenge. I am quite prepared to engage in further studies as and when needed to achieve these objectives.

Show profile Hide profileIn my most recent employment as Office Manager with A-Waybury Adventures CC, I had a range of responsibilities that included:
• Maintenance of timely and accurate financial records for all income and
expenditure
• Handling company cash in a responsible and accurate manner to ensure that
funds were not misplaced and/or incorrectly allocated. This included the
gathering
of all supporting documentation on a daily basis from all company employees
• Ensuring that all financial transactions, including receipts and all payments
(debit orders, credit and debit card payments and electronic transactions)
were properly recorded, allocated and filed with supporting documentation
• Ensuring that all supporting documentation was properly filed and available for
inspection
• Working with all the accounting elements of Pastel software.
• Assisting the external auditors in the preparation of the monthly financial
accounts
• Assisting the external auditors with their annual audit tasks
• Communicating with all office staff
• Daily communications with the Managing Director
The business was closed in December, 2015 and subsequently went into liquidation.
Prior to my employment with A-Waybury Adventures CC, I was employed by the Woodhill Residential and Golf Estate and was responsible for internal marketing and communications. In this capacity I worked closely with the Marketing Manager and Estate Manager and it was our joint responsibility to continually position the estate as “The Estate of Choice” to both internal and external stakeholders.
In 2016, I decided to further my education and enrolled for part-time studies with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). I have completed two subjects at the Foundation Level and am currently busy with the next two subjects. By June 2017 I will have completed the National Certificate in Bookkeeping (NQF L3) and I plan to continue through to the more advanced levels in due course.
I successfully completed my Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 2009, in which I gained tremendous insight into the complexities of modern business, employers and employees, the challenges of product positioning, marketing, etc. Together with the additional business experience I have had since then, I feel very well equipped to take on new responsibilities and challenges.
In addition, since 2010, I studied for and passed the Prince 2 Foundation Qualification and also undertook further part-time studies with Unisa, successfully completing the Programme in Marketing Management.
