Show profile Hide profileIn September 2005, I was granted the opportunity to begin my graphic designing career in an advertising agency, starting as a DTP Artist. I attended a DTP course to gain more knowledge on the Repro side of things, and then worked my way up into doing graphic design.
I gained alot of "print" experience during my time working at a printing house, where i was also expected to design anything and everything requested by walk in clients, over and above the continuous work that was on my list of tasks to complete for the day.
I moved back into the advertising industry to concentrate more on graphic designing and learn more about the marketing and branding side of graphic design.
I have been free lancing since October 2008 and enjoy the variation of doing many different types of creative articles and interacting with new clients.
I work on both mac and pc, but am a preferred mac user. The software I work in is: Adobe Creative Suite 4: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Flash. I also use Freehand and Corel Draw (for PC).
I am inspired by many graphic designers and like to keep up with new trends and like to offer new creative ideas as well. A site that i find quite inspiring is
www.abduzeedo.com. I am still learning web design and hope to add that to my list of services very soon.
I have designed logos, corporate stationery, corporate identities, car wraps, sand blasting, banners, email teasers as well as branding on corporate gifts/products. I have done 21st invitations, wedding invitations and kiddies party invitations. I have created simple cartoons in flash, animated MMS's, as well as animated web banners and have currently exanded my services into web design as well.
