My Career
Since 1995 I have combined freelancing as an Writer, Editor and Proof Reader with a number of positions including Public Relations, Communications and Marketing Consultancy, and a five-year stint as Operations Manager for a specialist inbound tour operator.
My career extends from early work as a radiographer, then 16 years as an independent computer consultant in South Africa and the UK.
My IT expertise includes systems design and analysis, programming, implementation, technical writing (systems and user documentation), operational management, team leadership and training.
Management Information Systems a specialty including two major projects based on original research: Financial and Research Management Information System for James Capel in London, and Financial Forecasting for Reader's Digest, Cape Town.
Other blue-chip clients included Norton Rose, Milton Bradley, ITT Cannon, Consolidated Goldfields and Old Mutual. \
