Show profile Hide profileI am currently studying to become a CIMA certified chartered management accountant at Charter Quest Financial Training Centre in Sandton. My classes are all on weekends therefore I am available to work full time or part time during the week as this is a requirement for my course. I have a bachelor of commerce where I majored in marketing from Macquarie University in Australia. I am looking for an opportunity to utilise the skills I acquired and gain some practical work experience in the field of business to further develop myself. Some of the units I studied such as business communications, international marketing, marketing strategy, marketing operations, management accounting and cross cultural understanding undertaken at university equipped me with the necessary theoretical knowledge to be effective and efficient in this role.
I have previous work experience as a brand ambassador and data processor for a food marketing and merchandising company in Australia where I lived for over 4 years. I did this for over a year and as a result I am used to working in a high pressure business environment and this enabled me to develop the ability to work effectively and contribute as a team member. I am proactive in my decision making and when necessary I am also able to work independently without supervision but also take good direction.
Some of the tasks I had to perform included organisation of the database, production of reports and analysis of data from merchandising field operators and for supermarkets. My role also included some administrative duties and promotional activities. My work experience as a brand ambassador required communicating new features of products and engaging with potential customers in various scenarios.
The work experience and my university studies have helped me develop communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. I am a fun loving individual who is very driven, works hard but also loves interacting with people and being the best person I can be and live a life I can be proud of. I'm confident that I have the potential to be an excellent contributor to the organisation and would love an opportunity to work with your organisation.
