×AMY ZINGU
I am a twin, a ferternal twin. I love to travel and discover new adventures.
Show profile Hide profileI have also worked for Synovate Aztec and Travelogic. At both the companies I was a developer, whereby I produced systems and reports. I used various types of programming languages and tools. The tools and programming included SQL, C# VB.net and Crystal reports and Microsoft tools(excel, word and visio). From doing this I realised that my skills were stronger in the analytical side. That is how I ended up at Digicall and then at MWEB.
Both of those companies taught me about the dynamics of a call centre environment. The one taught me how to distribute the data in such a way to create sales while the other one taught me how to predict and pick up trends from sales churn and movement. I enjoyed this as I was able to use all my skills from my previous jobs and varsity. But also I was had a great opportunity to gain knowledge.
At MWEB my current responsibilities are:
Report to call centre manager with regards to sales made via the call centre on a daily weekly and monthly basis.
Payments of commission and overtime for the call centre staff and feedback to the finance and HR department
Planning and forecasting for sales staff and payments for commission and overtime
Report comparison on sales from all divisions to churn and calls made to get the sale made
Performance of products with regards to sales and the current base size
Report on performance with regards to sales ad-herring to business and RICA rules and regulations.
Ad hoc queries from finance, sales and products departments.
From Digicall and MWEB I used the following skills excel, access, Cognos, SQL, Ms Word and Power point. I have been able to not only utilize the skills that I got from my tertiary studies but I have also been able to develop my skills from self growth and going on courses.
From career experience I have learnt valuable lessons which I now use in my current role and at home so that I can benefit and experience the essentials parts of my life and job. The main things that I have learnt is:
Importance of time management and time planning
Importance of double checking ones work before handing in
The effect of working as a team and working on your own
