Youth out of crisis
The Birds and Bees is a youth programme that educates and empowers young people between 14-17 about positive lifestyles and we need help.
We want to take a trip to Robben Island as only one of the 24 participants have been there and this is an important part of our history that every youth should experience. The birds and bees are young people being trained as peer educators and we are also doing different types of follow up sessions when i ask who has been to Robben Island only one raised her hand and i just think that its sad that we are so close and yet so far. Most of the participants cant afford it and the group comes from areas like Manenberg, Khayelistha, Heideveld, Bonteheuwel. I ask of you to help us experience a part of our history.
