Environment awards for MTN Ekasi TV sites
This year's annual City Parks Environmental Awards were aimed at paying tribute to organisations and individuals who went above the call of duty to better the lives of township people and to help keep Johannesburg green. The chairperson's recognition award, for the company that most assists in the upliftment of communities in Johannesburg, went to MTN for its MTN Ekasi TV (formerly known as Township TV) sites. The MD's Service Excellence Discretionary Award went to Graeme Joffe, a 94.7 Highveld Stereo sports presenter and founder of the sites, for his substantial contribution to giving back to communities through the sites.
