Another dream comes true

The second winner in the Dream Big SA campaign by O, The Oprah Magazine, SABC 3 and Santam is that of Kirsty Peggs. Now almost six, she is totally blind in one eye, with only partial sight in the other and her parents' biggest dream is to keep her in mainstream schools. The Dream Big Team have arranged a Clarity Desk Mate (a closed-circuit TV magnifier costing in excess of R30 000) from the US and allocated funds towards a dedicated in-class helper for her for the coming year. The team will also cover the cost of occupational therapy for the next year. To get the ball rolling, the Peggs family recently spent a pampering weekend away at Zimbali Lodge, courtesy of Sun International and Kirsty had a shopping spree from Toys R Us in Gateway, where she chose the toys she has always wanted.
