Oreo gets a Mzansi twist with new limited-edition biscuit

Mondelēz South Africa is bringing Oreo and Cadbury P.S. together for a limited-edition biscuit that combines Oreo’s chocolate crunch with a Caramilk-inspired filling, and uses the launch to tap into the everyday rituals of friendship.

The launch brings the two brands together in a product collaboration that draws on their existing identities, with Cadbury P.S. providing the flavour inspiration.

Alongside the product, Mondelēz is linking the launch to the idea of small gestures that help people maintain friendships, from sharing a treat to checking in on someone.

For Mondelēz South Africa, the launch also connects product development with a broader brand message: the small gestures that help people stay connected.

From flavour to friendship

The campaign draws on how people maintain friendships through everyday interactions, from sharing memes and commenting on social media to checking in when someone goes quiet. Cadbury P.S., known for its message-led chocolate bars, provides a natural link to that idea.

“Oreo has always been about bringing people together through playful moments and shared experiences,” says Marli Visagie, biscuits category lead for Mondelēz South Africa.

Visagie says the partnership with Cadbury P.S. builds on the role of small gestures in keeping people connected, bringing together Oreo’s playful positioning and the chocolate bar’s association with sharing messages.

“With the new Oreo P.S., we're bringing together two brands that people know and love, while giving fans another reason to reach out to their besties, share a treat and enjoy a little moment of connection,” she says.

The Oreo P.S. Limited Edition Caramilk Flavoured Biscuit is available from retailers nationwide.
