Mid–Senior Digital Experience Designer (Web)

Job description

We’re looking for a thoughtful, highly capable Digital Experience Designer to shape enterprise website experiences and scalable design systems in Figma.
This is a web-focused role, not a product design position. You’ll design clear, credible, high-performing digital experiences for complex websites, translating brand strategy, content, user needs, and business goals into practical, beautifully considered web interfaces.
You’ll be comfortable moving between the big picture—site structure, journeys, content hierarchy, and visual direction and the detail: responsive page templates, components, interaction states, and meticulously maintained Figma libraries.

What you’ll do:

• Design modern, user-centred enterprise website experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Create and evolve scalable Figma design systems, including components, variants, tokens, styles, patterns, templates, and clear usage guidance.
• Develop page concepts and reusable templates for corporate, brand, campaign, service, industry, insight, and conversion-focused web pages.
• Translate brand guidelines into expressive, usable digital systems that work consistently across a large website estate.
• Partner with strategists, content specialists, developers, project managers, and clients to turn requirements into high-quality web experiences.
• Improve information hierarchy, navigation, page layouts, calls to action, and content presentation.
• Produce polished prototypes and annotated design handovers that enable efficient, accurate implementation.
• Participate in design reviews, quality assurance, and continuous refinement of live website experiences.
• Advocate for accessibility, responsive behaviour, consistency, and usability throughout the design process.

What you bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in web, digital experience, visual, or UX/UI design, ideally with enterprise, agency, corporate, or large-content website experience.
• Strong, demonstrable experience designing and maintaining design systems in Figma.
• An excellent portfolio of responsive website work—not only mobile apps or SaaS product interfaces.
• Confidence designing complex content-led websites, including navigation, page systems, editorial layouts, and conversion journeys.
• Strong visual design judgement: typography, spacing, grids, imagery, colour, hierarchy, and brand expression.
• Practical knowledge of responsive design, web accessibility, and common front-end constraints.
• A structured approach to component design and documentation, with an eye for both system consistency and real-world usability.
• Ability to communicate design rationale clearly and collaborate constructively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A high level of craft, attention to detail, and ownership.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with CMS-driven websites such as WordPress, Sanity, Contentful, or Sitecore.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and how modern front-end systems are built.
• Experience designing for multilingual, multi-market, or large corporate websites.
• Experience in a digital agency or consultancy environment.

What this role is not:
This is not primarily a product-design role focused on software workflows, application UX, dashboards, or feature roadmaps. While user-centred thinking is essential, the core of this role is designing exceptional brand-led, content-rich, enterprise web experiences and the Figma systems that make them scalable.
