Exploring new broadcast horizons

Leo Manne, who had been with Metro FM since 2001, left the radio station last week to take up the position of manager: special projects at SABC1. “In a nutshell, the job involves identifying and exploiting new revenue streams, as well as dealing with programmes, new media and eventing,” he explained. “I had been with Metro FM for six years, but it was time to explore a new career challenge. Although I've always done radio, I've also had brief exposure to television and have always had a keen interest in pursuing it further one day.” Nick Grubb, PCS programming strategist, will be acting programme manager until further notice.
