Marketing to South Africans overseas
On a trip to London recently I picked up a 'South African' newspaper (titled 'South African') and noticed various South African online retailers (as well as local UK brands) taking advantage of the captive South African audience... Is this a market we have overlooked?
There are more than a million South Africans living in the UK. The newspaper I picked up was a 20-page tabloid newspaper with an interesting spread of advertisers ranging from the local South African shop selling biltong in Wimbledon through to Nandos, Pam Golding, HomeNet, Woolworths, Cape Union Mart and others..
What type of response are these people receiving? Has anyone had much experience marketing to this audience?
