Vusukukhanya Primary gives Liberty Corporate a thumbs up

In its ongoing support and following last year's donation of classroom materials to the school, this year Liberty Corporate has donated gloves to 1,300 pupils at Vusukukhanya Primary School in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal.

The donation of the gloves was received on 26 June, and as a result of the generous participation by delegates who attended the BATSETA conference held in the Drakensburg earlier last month.

"Our involvement in education over the past 40 years is well known and this donation is a continuation of that involvement," says Tiaan Kotze, Executive: Large Corporate Distribution at Liberty Corporate. "The donation of gloves goes far beyond the classroom; it provides learners with an environment conducive to learning."

Mr Mkhunya, Principal at Vusukukhanya, could not contain his excitement at the handover: "It is indeed heart-warming when companies such as Liberty come to spend time with us. On behalf of the learners, I would like to thank Liberty for this gesture. I am certain that their parents will appreciate Liberty's generosity."

Kotze concludes, "We are pleased to have continued with the same school from last year, indicating our sustained approach to CSI and allowing us to make a real difference in the lives of our communities. We know that making a difference requires hands-on commitment, and with the delegates' assistance, we were able to do just that."
