In Date Night, a case of mistaken identity turns around a boring married couple's attempt at a romantic evening into something more dangerous and thrilling. Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire Foster (Tina Fey) chose the wrong place at the wrong time and soon they find themselves in anything but a boring routine.

There were a few funny moments which were a bit unrealistic but aimed to entertain - like crawling onto the bonnet of a speeding car through New York City and having your partner take the wheel. I mean, boring married couple turns superheroes unscathed? Anyway, the idea probably emphasises that this seemingly day-to-day couple are anything but boring when it comes to running for their lives.
