The Johannesburg Big Band is back in action this month as they accompany Ard Matthews, Arno Carstens, Loyiso Bala and Ross Learmonth sharing a stage together to perform some of the most memorable and timeless classics of our time.
Due to popular demand, a second show has been opened for "The Brat Pack with a Big Band". The shows will now take place over 27 and 28 March 2020 at Teatro Monte Casino.
‘A Brat Pack With A Big Band’ - a musical journey presented by Real Concerts and Hot 91.9 FM - will see these four top vocalists – who have all hailed from some of SA’s biggest music acts - take to the stage in collaboration with the 17-piece Johannesburg Big Band conducted by Adam Howard.

.The Johannesburg Big Band is a collection of the finest jazz and session musicians in South Africa. Formed in 2011 and run by its Musical Director Adam Howard through his company Howard Audio, they have performed at many events, including sold-out performances at the Lyric Theatre, Joburg Theatre and Time Square Pretoria. They have performed with the likes of Lira, Vusi Mahlasela, Timothy Moloi, Chiano Sky, Swing City, The Soweto Gospel Choir, The Parlotones and many more.
They are also active on the event scene – having played at many corporate events with clients such as Audi and FNB. In 2016 – the Johannesburg Big Band hosted a live Christmas Day TV show for Mnet.
