U2 fan walk announced
For the U2 360 Tour Concert at Cape Town Stadium on 18 February 2011, Celebrity Services Africa Events will conceptualise and manage a fan walk, building on its experience of the successful 2010 FIFA World Cup fan walk. The event will be sponsored by 8ta.
The walk will include large print murals depicting the band's illustrious history as well as iconic elements from some of their best-selling albums. Other elements will include a stage with a screen back-drop, setting the scene for DJs and a VJ, while rock bands will appear from a roof-top, emulating the band's video shoot in LA of the song 'Streets With No Name'. Other elements will include sky-beams, cyber stilt-walkers, a marching band, drummers and activation from KFM.
