It's tool time!

Exhibitors are powering up raise the roof on Hardex 2007.

The upcoming Hardex 2007 has created a buzz in the hardware and allied products industry. A biennial exhibition organised by Exhibitions for Africa, the event will highlight and display hundreds of hardware products and services, from plumbing and bathroom accessories, abrasives and power tools to shop fittings, sanitary ware and delivery vehicles.

The exhibition takes place at the prestigious Sandton Convention Centre from September 15-17, 2007. A record 4400 industry players visited the exhibition in 2005 to view displays from 142 exhibitors and the good news is that this year visitors can expect to see displays from over 150 local and international exhibitors.

Hardex will afford visitors the opportunity to meet and interact with target hardware and allied products suppliers. Hardex is the only trade fair of its kind in South Africa and testament to this fact is that exhibitors from Pakistan, China and Australia have also signed up to display their products and services.

According to Tom Mcafferty, sales manager for Hardex, "Visitors are in for a treat as exhibitors are going all out to make their displays creative and imaginative and showcase the latest in hardware related products and services that their businesses have to offer."

Hardware outlets and builders merchants like the event because it gives them a chance to meet potential clients and customers on a more personal basis and explain their products and services in more detail.

"Hardex gives us the opportunity to display our new products and meet the people interested in these products, and that is always good for business," says Faizel Jooma, hardware division manager at SA Ladder.

"The show has always been good for us so we will continue to exhibit there. It is a good opportunity for branding and a good way of increasing sales, customers and clients. The show makes more people aware of SA Ladder."

Jooma's comments were echoed by Bernice Bailey of Isover. "This is a very good way of networking with the industry and promoting our products," says Bailey, who adds that he believes the event is a great platform that enables his company to reach potential customers.

The event is organised by Exhibitions For Africa winners of the Best Exhibition Organiser at the Exhibition of Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) 2006 Awards
