Judging panels made up of representatives of industry organisations, institutions, companies and media will select the nominees and eventual category awards winners.
Although most of the awards will be judged by SAFTA 2007 judging panels, audiences will be able to vote for their favourite soapie via a phone-in and SMS competition. The judging process will be overseen and verified by independent auditors. The SAFTA 2007 Nominees will be made public at the SAFTA 2007 Nominee Announcement Junket on Friday 28 September.
The winners will be presented with the Golden Horn, the official SAFTA trophy, at the red carpet gala ceremonies that will host the cream of South African talent, leading personalities in the local film, television and music industry, key government, private sector and media VIPS on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 October.
