Show profile Hide profileI was a manager at Waste Centre where I was entrusted with a huge amount of responsibility and accountability. This was a full time job where I worked Monday to Sunday. As there was only 1 manager in the store at most times, it was imperative that you were always available and consistent. I felt that I was reliable and accurate with my work and performed to a level which was needed. One of my greatest skills that I learned, was being able to manage and motivate the staff. I was the youngest so I had to learn how to deal with people much older than me, and this was a great trait that I managed to learn.
I started Jami-Lee Designs along with my girlfriend in 2011 but opened as a business in 2012. We started from the ground up, hosting fashion shows and attending local markets to raise awareness of our brand. We have been relatively successful having now been running for over 3 years. We stock on our own website (www.jamileedesigns.com) as well as other online platforms such as takealot.com. We are also in 3 boutiques and are looking to expand.
