Property online booming
Pam Golding Properties (PGP) says that for the first six months of this year it sold R90 million of residential property on leads generated through the Internet - double the value of online leads for the whole of 2001. High value properties get the most online attention. The highest recorded sale through an online lead was R8 million for property in Somerset West. Says PGP referral manager Gail Paul: "Approximately half the inquiries we receive to purchase properties via our Web site are from offshore, with sales of properties site unseen becoming a fairly regular occurrence."
