Santie Botha to join MTN
Absa's group executive director of e-business, Santie Botha, has resigned to head MTN's marketing division. She will also take a seat on MTN's board. Botha was a driving force behind the merger of Volkskas, Allied, United and Trustbank into the one brand of Absa. At the end of last year she was named as The Tusk Awards' 2002 Marketing Person of the Year.
