More news

“Nationally, we are seeing a trend where newly developed areas are evolving into self-sufficient communities and therefore the need for more clearly defined community newspapers,” says Gill Randall, joint MD for NAB.
“Both KZN papers are a result of this increased demand from readers wanting more focused, localised advertising and editorial content for their suburbs, over and above the popular Zululand Observer. North Watch and EShowe Watch will be distributed freely to identified suburbs on the third Tuesday of every month.
“Consumers and home owners want news that is relevant to their immediate surroundings – whether it’s news from the local schools, charities or municipalities, or where they can access consumable goods at the best price, closest to home,” adds Randall.
EShowe Watch will be distributed in the Melmoth, Nkwaleni and Ulundi suburbs while North Watch will reach Mtubatuba, Riverview and St Lucia. Both papers will have an initial distribution of 5500 copies each month.
