Safrea's Western Cape regional committee announces upcoming Langa event

The event puts a spotlight on the entrepreneurs and leaders of Langa, Cape Town's oldest township.
Some specific stories that will be uncovered include:
Langa Quarter: “Clean, Green and Safe”.
Urban artworks by Jace, the world-renowned French street artist.
Meet the founders of Langa Homestay.
The Township Winery.
The event also features a panel discussion on the impact small business and entrepreneurs have had on Langa. Speakers include:
Tony Elvin: Social entrepreneur and innovative advisor on the Langa Quarter initiative.
Nombulelo Mzizi: Langa Homestay entrepreneur.
Thembela Ntongana: Editor at GroundUp and expert on citizen journalism.
Taking place on the same day as the Open Streets Festival, Safrea encourages guests to spend the afternoon engaging with the vibrant township culture.

Ikhaya Le Langa (House of Sun) is a Langa-based NPO in Langa, the oldest historically black township in the Western Cape. The initiative aims to create hundreds of job and business opportunities through tourism and the redevelopment of the broader Langa neighborhood.
