Students get McValue
Branded promoters were mobilised to distribute leaflets, engage students with news of the McDonald's McValue offering and encourage them to go to McDonald's for lunch - the key objectives of the campaign.
The "value" element was communicated in a fun and interactive way with the "Money Shower". This allowed students to engage with McDonald's and to stand an opportunity to win a variety of prizes. Students entered the Money Shower one by one and were given the challenge to grab as many coupons as possible with one hand in 20 seconds; further entrenching the R20 cost of the McValue meal in students minds.
Every hour the number of coupons was increased to give everyone a chance to win branded T-shirts, caps, can coolers, mugs and more. The grand winner at each of the 10 targeted campuses all received cash prizes.
