A joint initiative of the City's Central Improvement District (CCID), MHG and its managed healthcare subsidiary Qualsa, 16 mobile vending units were handed over to informal traders to improve trading conditions outside the company's offices, and, ultimately, to upgrade the city's public areas.
Strategically positioned in front of the health group's building on Adderley Street, each vending unit is branded with the company's logo's and colours, creating maximum brand presence.
The units have been especially designed to be self-contained, lockable and structurally sound - ensuring safe and easy storage of goods.
“Now vendors can focus on the most important job of the day - increasing sales and eventually moving from informal to formal trading,” said Yolanda Methvin of Gimme That, who designed the units and co-ordinating the project.
