SA Clios shortlist announced
Once again, South Africa has made the shortlist for the 2008 Clio Awards in the Billboard, Innovative Media, Print, Print: Direct Mail, Radio and Television/Cinema/Digital categories. Awards will be presented at the 2008 Clio Festival, 14 - 17 May 2008, at the Gansevoort South Hotel in South Beach, Miami, Florida.

Some statistics on the awards process:
- Each year, Clio receives more than 20,000 entries from 65 countries.
- Fewer than 10% reach the Shortlist, from which 115 jury members made up of creative leaders from 25 countries re-evaluate the work to determine Gold, Silver and Bronze Clio winners.
- Less than 3% of entries receive a Clio statue.
- Less than 1% receive a coveted Gold Clio.
- Each jury also has the option of awarding Clio's highest honor, the Grand Clio, to one truly exceptional piece of work in each medium from the Gold winners chosen.
