The debut album is a genre-shifting Afrikaans rap offering, which draws from its members' combined and diverse influences and references. The music is progressive, innovative and shifts the boundaries of hip hop in a South African context.

Produced by Van Pletzen and Minnaar, the music on "'n Ware Verhaal" is a far cry from the stagnant and monotonous loops found in most contemporary rap offerings. Jaco van der Merwe's lyrical themes range from humorous and fearless social commentary to fables and narratives intended to induce in the listener the long-neglected art of thinking.

"'n Ware Verhaal" also showcases collaborations with Jack Parow, Tumi Molekane, Inge Beckmann, Sev Statik (New York) and Tim Beumers (Rotterdam). The music video of the title track "'n Ware Verhaal" can be viewed on YouTube and can also currently be seen on DSTV channel MK, where it entered the Top Ten chart at number eight in October.
