Hitting the open road to Shelley Point   TRAVEL
[Sindy Peters] Travelling for two hours on the open road along the West Coast of South Africa can be an adventurous experience if you're not quite sure the exact location of your destination. Your journey will be full of twists and turns so you suddenly depend on the locals to get you there. Heading to the Shelley Point Hotel in St Helena, we made our way onto the R27 going west from Cape Town.

Relaxe and renew at the Life Day Spa   WELLNESS & TRAVEL
[Ruth Cooper] Never having experienced a floatation tank or pool, but hearing great things about them as the ultimate relaxation activity, I was quite excited to get the chance to try one at the very swish Life Day Spa at Crystal Towers Hotel in Canal Walk. Luckily not only did I manage to get my float on, but I also tried out the Middle Eastern Mud Ritual.

The Grand Affair   FOOD
[Riccardo Spagni] I recently was told that I like nice stuff. Apparently this is a problem if I ever go to live in a third-world village in a country like, I don't know, South Africa. Whilst both of these points may be true, there is no doubt that The Grand is on my list of "nice stuff" that I like. It is like the bachelor pad of some recently divorced Russian billionaire; it manages to ooze class and substance whilst still feeling surprisingly modern. This, however, is The Grand at night. During the day it transforms into our proverbial billionaire's hip-and-happening son, a watering hole for Cape Town's up-and-coming trendsetters. How is this possible, one might wonder? Location, location, location. Set in a formerly abandoned warehouse near the V&A Waterfront, it is effectively a private beach with the innards of the warehouse gutted and refurbished for the sole purpose of serving you food.

Bonga's Beats - Hot releases   MUSIC
[Bonga Percy Vilakazi] Here are some of hottest release in the R&B and soul worlds, music you need to make sure you're not seen without.
