Earlier this year, the company announced the re-launch of its competition with a new name - 1.sixoneeight - and new logo. The new brand name reflects the golden ratio of design excellence and is designed to appeal to a specific target market - students of architecture and interior design - while pushing traditional competition boundaries. Entries close on 31 August 2010.
Judges
Jason Wells, brand manager of PG Bison says, “Andrea is a newcomer to the judging team who won the PG Bison South African Interior Design Student of the Year award in 2005. While not a judge, Prof Des Laubscher of the Greenside Design Centre will facilitate and convene the judging panel for 2010.”
Another interesting addition to the competition team is one of the founders of the Night of 1000 Drawings, David Chong. “David has opened our eyes to an array of interesting design concepts and is keeping everyone on their toes, especially some of the judges who have been photographed in a whole new way.”
