Solutio makes a new appointment
Dr Bobby Ramasia has been appointed general manager of client relations at Solutio, the managed healthcare division of Medscheme.
Dr Bobby Ramasia holds an MBChB (Natal), MSc sports medicine (Nottingham, UK), a graduate certificate in sports law (RAU) and a graduate certificate in financial management (RAU). He has been a family practitioner for more than 15 years in Ekurhuleni and a part-time public health doctor at the Natalspruit Hospital and Vosloorus Clinic.
He was an executive director of the South African Medical and Dental Practitioners Association and its business wing (SAMDP Group Holdings Ltd) and has actively participated in several BEE transactions including the unbundling of Johnnic through the NEC. He was also an executive director at Netpartner during the acquisition of Medscheme and actively participated in the process.
