The 2017 Cape Legends & Artisan Spirits Inter Hotel Challenge once again celebrated the country's leading 29 hotels with support from Distell; the Cape Town leg of the event was held at the Vineyard Hotel on 29 March. The other legs of the event were held at the Palace at the Lost City in Sun City, the Hartford House in Midlands, KwaZulu-Natal and NH The Lord Charles in the Cape Winelands.

The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show has relaunched its food offering under the guidance of celebrity chef, Arnold Tanzer.
