Consumer rights to be entrenched
The Department of Trade & Industry intends to have far-reaching legislation for the protection of consumer rights ready by next year. Government is busy overhauling South Africa's fragmented consumer rights legislation and policies. In its final form, the policy will include legislation to entrench consumer rights, ensure effective redress and enable the department to support consumer education and advocacy. – The Star Business Report
