Teen title, mobile chat service partner
seventeen magazine recently joined forces with South Africa's top mobile chat service MXit and in just over a month, the title's contact on MXit had grown to 41 442 subscribers. The content offering includes messages from 17 HQ, branded skins, wallpapers, daily horoscopes, love advice, gossip, beauty tips and loads of competitions. “As the highest trafficked youth site in the country, moving into the mobile space was a natural and necessary progression for seventeen digital. Teens have an insatiable desire to stay connected not only with their friends, but with their favourite brands too. We want our readers to know that wherever they are, we are too and that they can call on us any time for advice, entertainment or when they simply want to interact with the brand outside of what the monthly magazine has to offer,” commented Lisa Moretti, group digital editor.
