Google news service launched
Google is using its search engine technology to add breaking news services to its offering. Google News was launched last week after a six-month beta testing period. 4000 news sources are scanned in real time to deliver relevant results and users are also able to search a 28-day index of news stories. Google is introducing the service free of ads and plans to eventually licence it to other sites.
