Virus alert and fix: MyDoom

The latest email virus, MyDoom, has spread very fast worldwide since Monday, causing web congestion and flooding email inboxes. Do not open any emails having an attachment with a suffix of zip, pif, scr, exe, cmd or bat. To see if you are already infected, download a free virus checking and removal utility from McAfee (Microsoft Windows).

Thereafter, make sure you update your virus definitions for your anti-virus package using its "Update" button or menu item. If you don't have anti-virus software, here is a good free package to download: http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php.
