Independent Democrats launch 'revolutionary digital democracy forum'
Patricia de Lille's Independent Democrats have launched what they claim to be a first for a political party in South Africa - an SMS service for their voters. De Lille says that the technology is synchronised with the party's website, www.id.org.za, where voters' SMS messages can be read. The service could also be used to conduct SMS polls or to call a rally.
