Kulula special offer crashes website
The Kulula.com website went offline last week soon after a radio advert offered flights to Cape Town at a discounted rate of R222 for the month of August. With the special only available to online bookings the website's servers weren't up to dealing with up to 40 times the usual load. "Our servers are currently way under-utilised so we thought we had the capacity, but the demand was concentrated in such a small period of time, said commercial director Gidon Novic.
