Songwriting competition winner
Hannes de Beer from Bloemfontein is the winner of the OFM/Manwees songwriting competition. His song, Liewe Meneer, won him R50 000 worth of prizes, including a Weber braai, his & hers DKNY watches, designer footwear, fragrances and eyewear, and it will automatically be entered into the ATKV Cresendo Competition later this year. According to Nick Efstathiou, OFM's marketing manager, it was “all about the lyrics and the melody of the song - the quality of the recording was not important. We got a great response on the competition.”
