The making of a major theatrical

SABC, one of the sponsors of the musical The Lion King which opens late this month in South Africa at the new Montecasino Teatro, will broadcast a six part documentary on the making of The Lion King on SABC 2 at 9pm, 27 May – 1 July 2007. “The SABC is proud to be associated with a production of this nature as it assists us in promoting our vision of broadcasting for total citizen empowerment. The mere fact that their cast is South African goes a long way in transferring skills to the country and hence empowers our citizens,” says Kaizer Kganyago, head: SABC group communications.
