IS to continue as JINX

The Internet Service Providers' Association of SA (ISPA) has accepted Internet Solutions' proposal over Telkom's to host the Johannesburg Internet Exchange (JINX) for the 2006 - 2009 period. "ISPA chose current host IS because the cost for members to connect to IS' hosting facilities in Rosebank is much lower than the cost to connect to Telkom's facility in Centurion. In addition, while IS proposed to host JINX at no charge to ISPA, Telkom proposed a significant monthly hosting fee," says Greg Massel, co-chair of ISPA.
