2010 Edward Ruiz mentorship winner

The Edward Ruiz Mentorship at the Market Photo Workshop, in association with AngloGold Ashanti, seeks to aid an emerging photographer through mentorship. The 2010 winner is Thandile Zwelibanzi chosen for his current body of work called Still Existence, on the traders in the inner city. Referencing issues of migration, motion and mobility, he explores the ways in which issues of power and empowerment of people and of politics are resonant in the juxtapositions of fixtures and movements.
