Oscar paraglides home
On Wednesday, 8 December 2010, Joanne Lefson and her dog, Oscar, paraglided home to Camps Bay, Cape Town to mark the finale of the Pedigree® Ahound South Africa Tour.
Having already travelled over 70,000km on the international World Woof Tour last year, Joanne and Oscar wanted to spread the message in South Africa.
Sponsored by Pedigree, these two travelled to 30 cities across the country, visiting SPCA's, animal shelters and over 100 primary schools to educate and champion the cause of dog adoption. The tour has made a huge impact on these communities with a total of 183 dogs adopted to date. For every dog adopted on the tour Pedigree donated a month's worth of dog food for the new owners.
