Christmas delivery for under-privileged children from Chef Direct
Meal deliveries from online kitchen Chef Direct went into festive mode with party fare provided free to the Make-a-Difference Christmas party for 80 under-privileged children from the Kyasands and Msawawa informal settlements.
The party is organised by and staged at the Trinity House Pre-Primary School in Honeydew, Johannesburg and included gift packs and fun and games for the kids, plus photos with Santa.
It is the second year that Chef Direct has sponsored all the party food.
The company is based in Northriding, Johannesburg, close to the settlements the children call home. Many are orphaned and stay in shacks with unofficial ‘guardians' that are hard-pressed to put food on the table at the best of times, and certainly do not run to party treats.
