Somatologist/Skin Specialist

Role overview:
We are seeking qualified and passionate Somatologists/Skin Specialists to join our Cape Town retail team in Somerset West Mall and Canal Walk Mall. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing professional skincare consultations, recommending suitable products and treatments, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while achieving individual sales targets.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct skincare and haircare consultations for walk-in customers
• Provide expert skincare advice and product recommendations
• Demonstrate products and educate customers on their benefits and application
• Recommend suitable products and services, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities
• Promote current campaigns, new product launches, and in-store promotions
• Support store events and promotional activities
• Maintain strong product and ingredient knowledge
• Deliver exceptional customer service while achieving sales targets
• Work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in cosmetology, somatology, or beauty therapy (essential)
• 1–3 years' industry experience
• Previous experience within a retail, wellness, aesthetic, or spa environment will be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of skincare ingredients and products
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

Remuneration:

• Market-related basic salary, dependent on qualifications and experience
• Monthly commission structure based on individual sales performance
