Ogilvy celebrates 'being open'
Ogilvy Cape Town officially launched its new creative workspace in Sir Lowry Road in Woodstock on March 8. In keeping with the very open and largely-glass structure, the theme of the event for clients and industry was to ‘Be open’.
“Whether it is being open to leading positive change or just letting your hair down and having fun we wanted our guests to think about what it meant to them.” says Mike Abel, chief operating officer of Ogilvy South Africa.
This theme was expressed through various activities on different levels of the building that required guests to be open to trying out anything from mixing up a delicious cocktail to fantasy dress and braving pole dancing.
A fun AV was created to inspire ideas of openess among guests. Stars of the show included comedian Cokey Falkow; chief executive officer of WPP Group Sir Martin Sorrell, and musician David Kramer, who appeared in one of the best loved ads of Volkswagen – the agency’s longest standing client of more than 25 years.
