CRF SA showcases SA's BEST Employers 2008/9

The event attracted 14 500 people. Exhibitors were recruitment agencies, public and private companies from different fields. Those who attended the expo included high school learners, graduates seeking employment and professionals with an objective to switch employers. Their aims included learning as much as possible about career environment trends and most importantly to have an awareness of who the best employers in the country are.
CRF promoted SA's BEST Employers 2008/9 to the overall audience at the expo. Some of the BEST Employers that were not exhibiting include Microsoft, ABSA Shell SA, Pfizer Laboratories, Ernest & Young, SIEMENS Southern Africa, South Africa Breweries, CISCO, Unilever South Africa, Werksmans Incorporated as well as other companies. Several BEST Employers 2008/9 exhibited at the event. These are Telkom, Vodacom, BHP Billiton SA and Mr Price Group.
CRF provided recommendations and tips on career advancement to visitors of the stand. This includes, “how and when to deliver a curriculum vitae to an employer”, “the type of research that a candidate needs to conduct about the company”, “processes that companies engage before job advertisements are published” and “tips on selling your skills to the employer”.
