Job description
Who are we:We’re partnering with an established organisation to find an experienced Software Development Team Lead to join their IT team and drive the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Who are we looking for:
We’re looking for a technically strong leader who enjoys mentoring developers while remaining hands-on with code. You’ll take ownership of team performance, technical standards and delivery, ensuring projects run smoothly and solutions meet business needs.
What will you do:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of software developers.
- Stay hands-on with software design, coding and code reviews.
- Oversee development using .NET, C# and REST APIs.
- Plan sprints, allocate tasks and monitor progress through Azure DevOps.
- Maintain coding standards, software quality and secure development practices.
- Coordinate releases, production support and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with technical architects and business stakeholders to resolve challenges.
- Drive process improvements and the responsible adoption of AI development tools.
- A degree in computer science, IT or a related field.
- At least 7 years of software development experience, including 2 years in a team leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET (C#), REST APIs and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile/Scrum and pull-request workflows.
- Experience in people management, coaching and performance development.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and clean architecture.
