ELB appoints group chief executive

ELB Group (ELR)‚ a supplier of engineered products to the infrastructure‚ mining‚ processing and construction industries‚ has appointed Stephen Meijers as its group chief executive.

Peter Blunden remains as chief executive of ELB Equipment‚ the company said on Monday, 28 January 2013.

It said the appointment‚ which creates a new structure‚ was aimed at reinforcing its growth strategy after its expansion beyond SA's borders into Africa and Australia.

Meijers has 21 years of experience with the ELB Group and most recently as chief executive of ELB Engineering Services‚ a role which is ongoing.

Anthony Fletcher will continue as the ELB Group chairman.

The appointment is with immediate effect.
