"Don't let their dreams disappear"
Slipper Day is a fun way for people to contribute a small amount of money and make a huge difference. This year's campaign theme is "Don't let their dreams disappear" and we need South Africans to come out in their numbers and buy stickers to support dreams. The success of this campaign means that many of the "Dream Children" will have their dreams made a reality. The Foundation is hoping to raise R4-million this year and all the money will go towards dreams and projects for severely ill children.
Reach For A Dream is proud is announce the launch of the Slipper Day website and e-commerce twibbon. Simply logon to the website and purchase your R10 sticker to show your support on your Facebook and Twitter profile.
The launch of the website was held at the wonderful Tsogo Sun's 54 on Bath on Wednesday, 10 June 2015, and attended by many supporters of the Foundation. Local celebrities, Sophie Ndaba and Ashley Hayden, who were in attendance, are lending their support for the 2015 campaign.
The 'right' to wear your slippers on Friday, 7th August, in a show of support and solidarity for the Reach For A Dream Foundation will be granted when you purchase a 'Slipper Sticker' for only R10. Stickers are available at all Wimpy stores countrywide from 1st July. Alternatively, purchase a twibbon online at www.slipperday.co.za or at any one of the seven Reach For A Dream branches countrywide. The foundation is very fortunate to have a variety of celebrities on board this year as 2015 ambassadors of the campaign who are showing their support for children with life threatening illnesses.
Wimpy, the prod retail partner of Slipper Day, will be giving all customers a free cup of coffee when they purchase their Slipper Day sticker on the 7th August. Customers who visit Wimpy outlets on the day wearing their slippers and "Slipper Day" sticker will also receive a free Wimpy coffee as a thank you for supporting the Reach For A Dream initiative.
